FONDATION IDA – SECOND ACTIVITY – 28.06.2008

Fondation Ida held its second activity on Saturday 28th of June at the Département Oncologie Pédiatrique du Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois Lausanne, CHUV, in Lausanne.
During the afternoon, four teachers from Institut Mont-Olivet La Côte, made summer decorations with six hospitalized children who suffer from different forms of cancer or other serious diseases.
The children, boys and girls aged between two and sixteen, made necklaces, bracelets and keychains with colorful wooden pearls and textile flowers. Some also did drawings on the theme of summer.

Siblings, cousins and parents who were visiting participated in the workshop.
The children were entusiastic about the workshop and made beautiful things to keep or give as gifts to family and friends. Especially Aline, three years old, and Sarah, two years old, took great pleasure in making necklaces and bracelets.
Several parents expressed their gratitute to Fondation Ida, and nurses on duty showed their appreciation.
The next workshop, with autumn as a theme, will take place at the same hospital at the beginning of October.
