Picturesque Figures from the
Austro-Hungarian Empire

Wonderful original 1813 hand-colored aquatint engravings from William Alexander's "Picturesque representations of the dress and manners of the Austrians" published by Howlett and Brimmer in London.

Each print is nicely matted and ready to frame.

Handsome Peasant with Attitude! He leans jauntilly againt the hillside, decked out in a wide-brimmed hat and red sash.

Stain lower left. This is hidden by the mat that comes with the print.
