Charles Lotton

Charles G. Lotton, a successful beauty salon entrepreneur, first developed an interest in beautiful glass as a collector. Following this passion, he began in 1970 to teach himself the art of glass blowing, and in 1973 switched to professional glass-making as a full time career.

Lotton experimented with many different techniques, to develop a unique and secret formula for creating magnificent colors of glass.

Charles Lotton is often described as being the Louis Comfort Tiffany of the 20th century.

Lotton's work can be found in the Smithsonian Institute, the Corning Museum of Glass, the High Museum and the Art Institute of Chicago among other collections.
