The Day's Catch

Italy, Early 20th Century Oil on Canvas

Beautiful Mediterranean harbor scene. A Fisherman and his family unload the nets and day's catch from their small fishing boat. The vibrant blue water glistens behind them.

This beautiful painting is not signed. Executed in a post-impressionist style, it almost certainly dates to sometime between 1900 and 1930. The figures are executed in a monumental style, with flat planes of color, that is reminiscent of many pieces from the art deco period.

Dimensions: 41 X 54 cm (Around 16 X 21 inches)

Condition: Excellent

Very attractively framed.
