Alexander Kelety was born in Budapest, Hungary and studied sculpture in Toulouse with Imre Seamy. He exhibited in Paris in the years between the two World Wars.

 

Kelety is one of leading decorative sculptors of the Art Deco era. His name is often mentioned along with those of other great Art Deco masters like Demetre Chiparus or Johann Phillip Ferdinand Preiss.


Kelety died in 1940. The date of his birth is unknown.
