Signed Ed. Schild by the artist upper right and annotated Brienz

 

The noted Swiss artist Eduard Schild worked almost his entire life in Brienz and his landscapes and portraits feature scenes from life in that region. Schild is listed in the Benezit, and his works can be found in the Museum of Art in Thun and other major Swiss collections.

 

Condition: Some light craqueleur on part of the surface - See lower photo
