Portrait of a Silver-haired Gentleman with a Gold Earing

A native of Zug, Kaspar Josef Anton Felix Menteler was the nephew of Franz Thaddaaus Menteler the Younger. Known for his portraits, he also painted the altarpiece for the Church of St. German in Seewen, Canton of Solothurn.

This beautiful and detailed portrait of a gentleman dates to the early 1800s.
