Night landscape with an illuminated madonna and child and a priest in the foreground by Bernese painter and illustrator Karl Anneler.

A priest makes his way through the streets of Le Puy en Velay with the statue of Notre Dame de France illuminated in the background.

This 22 meter high statue, which sits a top Le Puy's volcano cone, was made from 213 cannons from the Crimean War.

Original gouache and watercolor, framed under glass.

The painting is in excellent condition. This image shows some reflections from the glass.
