Wonderful humorous 19th Century painting of the moment of truth when the bill is delivered. A man looks peers at his bill with enormous shocked eyes, while his wife leans forward anxiously, and a waiter hovers patiently in the background.

This painting has light damage (several small tears which can be seen in the photos), but could easily be restored.
