Alexander Muelleg was a Bernese painter and illustrator who is best known for his depictions of the elegant women of Bern during the 1930s and 40s.

 

Note: The scanner has faded out some of the delicate detail in the woman's face as well as the background of this image, which is actually a lovely pale blue.
