STONE BRIDGE

Wonderful oil on canvas of a stone bridge over a forest stream by Felix Roussel, an artist who was born around 1930 in Paris.

The style has a very turn of the century, symbolist or art nouveau look to it, in the flowing lines of the trees and the outlining of forms, although given the date of birth of the artist it has to have been done after the Symbolist period, probably circa 1950-1960.

There is also something slightly naive about the style. A very appealing painting in an original style! Would go well in an Arts & Crafts or California Cottage interior.

Nice autumn colors.

On stretched canvas, no frame.

Excellent condition.

Dimensions: 21.5 X 17.5 inches | 55cm X 45cm
