Ekkehard Kohlund

Born in Germany, the son of the painter Friedrich Kohlund, Ekkehard Kohlund began his career as a German stage actor. He was active in the threatres of Nürnberg, Biel-Solothurn and elsewhere. He also worked as a Stage Designer and Director. After moving to Bern in 1943, he wrote radio plays (Hörspielen) for Radio Studio Bern. From 1954 onward he increasingly dedicated himself to painting.
