Richard (Ric) Berger was a well-known artist, author and personality in Swiss Romandy (Suisse Romande).

 

Berger was a professor of design, decoration, and art history. At the an early age he became intereted in universal languges and eventually became an ardent supporter of Esperanto.

 

He is the author of many books about Swiss cultural and historic buildings and monments, which he illustrated with his own drawings.

 

This original oil on canvas shows "Le Petit Bois" just outside the beautiful town of Morges on Lake Geneva. Today the area is a campsite.
