Chikanobu (1838-1912)

 

Chikanobu was born in Niigata Prefecture as Hashimoto Tadayosh, and received his artist's name from Kunichika. He is best known for his triptychs which primarily date from the 1880.

Condition:
Very good. The three pieces have been bound together. Currently they are bound as a double triptich with an additional piece by Chikanobu. We can sell these pieces as one large piece, or separated into the two original triptichs.
