Solidarity workshop at PPG September 29 2010
Wednesday September 29, Fondation Ida organized a solidarity workshop on the premises of the American society PPG in Rolle.
This society that sponsors Fondation Ida, contacted us in order to carry out a workshop for the children of their collaborators.
Fifteen children between the ages of 3 and 12 years old joined us to create different kinds of frames for photos and cards.
For the picture frames, the children had at their disposal designs in wood and in fabric, clothespins decorated with autumn themes and ribbons. They enjoyed making their crafts using a lot of imagination.
For the bigger children, the frames were made with natural colored fabric and the choice of many different colors of ribbons. Each child knew to be patient and fashioned their craft with enthusiasm and pride.
A delicious snack, prepared by one of our volunteers, awaited us at the end of the workshop.
This afternoon was pleasant and the children left proudly with their creations. The collaborators of this society were charmed by the presence of all the children in an atmosphere where typically everything is very calm.
