"A gesture by a child for other children”

Fondation Ida also operates ”Solidarity Workshops”, workshops with paid enrollment for children in good health, in neighbouring villages in the Rolle region.

The goal of our ”Solidarity Workshops” is to publicize Fondation Ida and to raise funds to finance the foundation’s core activities for sick children by promoting the spirit of creativity among all children. 

One objective of Fondation Ida is to make childen in good health and their families aware of the difficulties children with serious illnesses encounter and the important benefits that creative activities can provide in living with illness and the healing process. Our Solidarity Workshops meet this objective in a positive and constructive way.

During our Solidarity Workshops, healthy children work on projects similar to projects hospitalized children do in our core programs.  For example participants create paintings using different techniques and ”pêles-mêles” which are used to display photos and postcards.

Ten to twelve voluntary workers from Fondation Ida assist the children during the Solidarity Workshops. Fondation Ida supplies all workshop materials as well as snacks and drinks for the children during the workshops.
