Fondation Ida´s main activities are the Creative Workshops for children hospitalized with cancer or other serious illnesses.

Each workshop is conducted by a group of voluntary workers. They develop ideas for creative projects, buy all necessary materials, organise and manage the workshops. 

When our voluntary workers come to the hospital, a playroom is prepared where we can display our material and receive ambulatory patients, children  who can move around.

For children who cannot move easily or are restricted to their beds, our voluntary workers conduct the workshop with them in their room. 

Each child can keep their creation to bring home, decorate their room or give as a gift. 

In general, the creative workshops starts at 13.30 and ends ar 17.30. They are always organized on a Saturday, and so far held in the pédiatric department at the University Hospital CHUV in Lausanne.
