RIKIKO puppetshow 12 November 2011

Like children in front of the big circus tent, we went to CHUV impatient and excited about the day we would share with the children. We passed the first part of the afternoon helping Elise, our puppeteer to decorate the stage. Shiny fabric, spotlight and sound effects, like in a real theatre...

From time to time, children peaked, impatient to see what was being prepared in the room where usually many doctors are seen discussing very complicated things...

And finally, the time has come! The children stood in line to have a seat in front of the theatre.
Everybody is in place, the show can begin!

"Little blue doesn't want to go to school because everybody teases him. What's more, every morning before going to school he has to take disgusting medicine...it's not fair! Just until the day where he meets little yellow and they become great friends..."

The children followed each movement of little blue and little yellow with their eyes wide open, occasionally shouting or clapping their hands, trying to help or propose solutions. What emotion, what joy, what magic...the combination of children laughing and...adults too.

But, the father of little blue had promised to give him a treasure so that he would always have courage to go to school...and us...will we also have a treasure?

To hope to have this treasure, you must make a magic pouch, so that Elise could slide...

Full of enthusiasm, each child got to work; glitter, sequins, stickers, tape, and at last, a magnificent pouch! Now, each child, holding it tight in their hands and... "it's not ready, it's not ready” yell the children whos eyes are closed tight, and... as soon as they open their eyes, the treasure is in their magic pouch!
It was a magnificent moment, full of magic and rejoice!
