National Day Celebration Rolle 01.08.2010

On August 1st, The National Day Celebration in Rolle was, for the first time, dedicated to only one organisation - Fondation Ida. This honorable decision was taken by Club Kiwanis Rolle-Aubonne, who organises this annual celebration in the lakeside city.

It was a very nice evening in Château de Rolle with food, drinks, music, dance and fireworks enjoyed by several hundred visitors, many showing a great interest in Fondation Ida.

In a large stand with the help of around ten volunteers, Fondation Ida presented our activities and displayed examples of crafts made with children, while in the hospital.
Hundreds of balloons in the national colours of red and white, with the Fondation Ida-logo were also distributed to children. Later, the balloons were let free by the children to raise to the evening sky.

We also organised a workshop for children where they made small candle holders, as an example of our creative activites.

During the evening, Club Kiwanis offered a remarkable donation to Fondation Ida. We are deeply touched by their generosity and extremely thankful for this contribution.
